Career Exposure & Experience
Two very lucky participants will again this year get a chance to see (and participate hands-on) how a professional small business is run! They will be actual uniformed employees. This will most likely be their very first jobs ever and they will receive actual paychecks! Some may be employed with multiple companies while in our program to expose them to different industries. One previous participant has gone on to success...Brent A. Davenport, who has made us all proud! Check him out in our gallery in his Metro-Link uniform! This is a customized training program. HIT, Inc. offers beneficial training and experiences a bit differently than what some traditional high schools may offer ...away from home and distractions to enhance their auspicious future! This is our most sought after program! It includes Occupational and Domestic training modules. Positive results are to be expected!

Ladies and Gentlemen, get dressed up and come out and join us for a fun filled educational etiquette training day on how to carry yourself at a business or formal dinner function. Improve your social skills, dining skills in a poised manner. You likely did not have to learn these skills in public school. Additionally, come and acquire the ability to understand and use nonverbal communication. It is a powerful tool that will help you connect with others, express what you really mean, navigate challenging situations, and build better relationships at home and work. Held the world famous Queen Mary Ship Hotel, she is docked in the beautiful blue waters of Long Beach, CA. We will then do a "behind the scene" tour of the ship, which is actually larger than the legendary Titanic ship.

The Boys need to wear: Dark Blue or Khaki Docker pants, pressed White collar shirt, solid Orange, Burgundy or light/medium Blue tie, Navy Blue collared (optional) jacket. NO tennis shoes or jeans allowed! Girls need to wear: solid Navy Blue or Khaki color skirts or pants, White blouses and be all-around well groomed. Mount Rushmore & The Crazy Horse Memorial Visit
Historically Educational Learning Trip
See four of our early presidents "totally rocking" and we don't mean the music! Come view U.S. Presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt in the South Dakota Badlands, and American Indian chief Crazy Horse in Keystone. Mount Rushmore was carved and sculpted by only one individual, Gutzon Borglum, to draw visitors to the Black Hills. He chose it's location because it was hard granite and because it faces the southeast where good daytime light is found.
HIT, Inc. youth will be able to trek a 1-mile Presidential Trail from the monument's museum and/or take a guided tour to fill their curious minds with the rich history of the sculpted peaks. Then view the nine-story high face of Chief Crazy Horse 17 mile drive down which was built by the Lakota Native American tribe in 1948 for it was thought that the Mount Rushmore project intruded on their own sacred landscapes. Wear comfy shoes and bring your cameras. You have to see this in person!
